Boat Race 1
On your marks… get set… row! But hold on a second, this House of Harley publication is not devoted to sailing regattas or Oxbridge student grudge matches. As every cockney knows, the ‘boat race’ we’re talking about is the human face, and that’s what you’ll see depicted in all its endless variety within these pages.
Stuffed with highlights from the House of Harley sketchbooks, Boat Race is the latest addition to our growing series of limited edition art booklets. Cheer, consternation, curiousity, delight, scepticism, resolve and anger are just some of the facets of human personality on display, all depicted in exhuberant pen and ink and enhanced with audacious full colour.
These choice selections from the House of Harley archive were drawn sometime during the 21st century and first published, with digital colour added, on the House of Harley blog from 2018 to 2024. Original House of Harley sketchbooks are available for purchase in our Etsy shop.
