The House of Harley’s musical department makes a rare appearance on a new recording from North London group The Original Beekeepers.
The Beekeepers, along with their sibling band Shammy Leather, have been making ‘fine but slightly silly and strange music’ since 1984. The Blossom World is their first release in five years, a themed collection of ‘beautifully warped songs and sideways observations inspired by the natural world and humanity’s awkward attempts to survive it’. The House of Harley joins them for the closing track, ‘Slugtrails’, recorded at a studio session way back in the late ’90s.
The Blossom World is available now to download or stream on the usual channels.
The band will be playing some tracks from the new record at Scaledown on Friday 12th June 2026. Venue: The King and Queen, 1 Foley Street, London W1W 6DL. Follow Scaledown on Facebook for more info.
