A year or so ago I switched from using pencil to pen when drawing people on the tube, in part to ease the process of cleaning them up and putting them online. Here’s my first attempt to scan and upload some of these sketches.

What inspired you to do these drawings?
Not sure how to answer that one, Ruth. I don’t have much time to draw so the choice of subject is usually whatever I happened to be looking at when I have a pen to hand (people, objects, photographs, magazines, etc). If I’m inspired/driven by anything, it’s trying to work out how to get whatever I’m drawing across as effectively as I can with as few lines as possible. All the best, Harley.
